MontRubí is a family-owned winery established in 1984, a pioneer in the recovery of indigenous varieties, located in an idyllic setting, a valley in the Alt Penedès, 60 km. away from Barcelona, covered by vineyards, Mediterranean pine, holm oak, olive, and oak forests, where we make organic high-altitude wines.
Our wines seek the roots, the uniqueness, and the value of traditional winemaking and we therefore always select indigenous grapes.
At the town of L’Avellà, where MontRubí is located, you can find the two wineries, the Casa Gran 1771 hotel, and the chalet, a fully renovated architectural work of the turn of the 19th century, where you can find the gastronomic Restaurante, the summer Wine Bar, the winter Wine Bar, and the wine store.
The Wine Bar is a space designed to taste the MontRubí wines through our suggested tastings, pairings, and entrees.
The Restaurant is a space full of elegance, with a lounge, private areas, and a terrace where to enjoy a contemporary approach of
market cuisine, full of flavour and as a tribute to the seasonal product. All of our dishes come from our orchards and from the best small farmers, cattle breeders, and growers of the Penedès.
Wine tourism at MontRubí is strongly bound to the local gastronomy; we therefore have different wine-tourism experiences, from a wine tasting with artisanal cheeses and charcuterie pairings, followed by a suggested pairing with small gastronomic expressions of our territory, to a tasting menu with wine pairing.
