Chronicle of the obstacles that shaped Gaudí’s universe
Lecture by Tate Cabré, Cultural Journalist, Doctor in Journalism and Communication Sciences
Within the range of topics covered by the two exhibitions «El Penedès through Gaudí’s Eyes. Wine and Its People», this lecture examines the influential youthful excursion that the architect undertook through these lands and that shaped his imagination. It also explores how this bond was strengthened through his intense spiritual and intellectual relationship with the illustrious Vilafranca native, bishop of Vic and key figure in Catalan thought, Josep Torras i Bages.
A personal connection that transcended friendship and ultimately materialized in the theological conception of the Sagrada Familia.
