Ruta 1714

The 1714 Route will take you back to the War of the Spanish Succession in Catalonia and to the settings of that period

As part of the commemoration of the Tercentenary of the end of the War of the Spanish Succession (1714–2014), the Government of Catalonia highlighted more than fifty historical monuments linked to the war.

The 1714 Route consists of 10 main scenes of the conflict, around twenty locations under the heading Espais 1714 (1714 Sites) and around twenty towns known as Viles cremades 1714 (1714 Burned Towns). Within the proposed route, in Penedès you'll find two Viles cremades: Sant Quintí de Mediona and Sant Martí Sarrocà.
