Transhumant is back!
On Wednesday, May 1, you can enjoy a walk along the Penedès livestock trails, and taste the products and gastronomy of the territory.
This tourist event wants to publicize everything that surrounds the culture of the Penedès shepherds and, at the same time, be a meeting point for people who work on the future of this profession, which is full of history and tradition and requires adaptation to the needs of today's society.
What is included?
You have three route options:
- Short 'transhumant': 7.5 km: La Bisbal del Penedès-Masarbonès. Return with own means.
- Average 'transhumant': 15 km: La Bisbal del Penedès-Masarbonès-La Bisbal.
- Long 'transhumant': 24 km: La Bisbal-Plans by SICUS (Bonastre)- La Bisbal.
You can opt for the gastronomic option, which consists of a visit and tasting to the Torclum olive trees, and a meal at Bisbal del Penedès.
All participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt.
