What does it involve
On June 11 at 9:00 a.m. and until 2:00 p.m., the 15th edition of the Festa dels Quatre Tombs organized by "Malet and his friends" will be held at the Torrentfondo with the support and collaboration of Town hall.
The event will start with a popular breakfast that can be bought there for €10, which will consist of 150g white sausage, 100g black sausage, 1 slice of bacon, bread, water, wine and coke.
From the first hour, attendees will be able to enjoy an exhibition of carriages and carriages of real size and also a display of miniature carriages. The central event, however, will be the traditional Quatre Tombs parade with the retinue of horses and carriages and the blessing of the animals by the priest of Sant Llorenç d'Hortons, Jordi Tres. The parade will start at 12:30 p.m
During the festival, you will be able to see historic carriages such as the tartana, used in the past to take people dressed up to mass; the stagecoach, which was the messenger of the time and transported everything from food to furniture from the municipality to the capital and vice versa; the bocoi carts, which carried casks of about five loads and which in the past was a measure of capacity for wine equivalent to about 650 litters; or the carriages that transported the wine with goat skins.
