Alcarràs is a 2022 international co-production dramatic auteur film directed by Carla Simón. It tells the story of a peasant family that sees its way of life disappear. Filmed in Catalan, it won the Golden Bone at the 72nd Berlin International Film Festival and became the first film in history in this language to receive the award and a success in Catalan cinema. In addition, it is the film selected to compete in the race for the Oscars as the best non-English language film.
