The party of the Quatre Tombs in Torrent Fondo

On Sunday, June 12, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Quatre Tombs festival will be held again in the center of Torrent Fondo located in Sant Llorenç d'Hortons.
In its 14th edition, the party will begin at 9 am with the arrival of carriages and a closed-door breakfast for participants only. At 12 noon, the parade of the Quatre Tombs will begin with a procession of horses and carriages, and the traditional blessing of the animals will take place by the priest of Sant Llorenç d'Hortons, Jordi Tres.
The Festival, organized by "Malet and his friends" together with the Sant Llorenç de Hortons Town Council, will allow visitors to see historical carriages such as the tartan used in the past to take people dressed up to mass, the diligence that was the messenger of the time and transported from food to furniture from the municipality to the capital and vice versa. Related to the world of wine, you will be able to see different carriages such as: the bocoy cars that transported boots of about 5 loads and that was formerly a measure of capacity for wine equivalent to about 650 liters or the carriages that transported the wine with goat skin.
The alma mater of this party, Antonio Malet, explains that “this party, now a highlight, was formerly necessary because the horse was a key piece for the family economy and if the animal died it could mean ruin.
